So the other day I was messing around doing some more animation in Photoshop and thought it would be cool to see this picture slightly animated! :) It ended up taking WAY longer then I thought for a little experiment but at least I learned some new things along the way!

MINOR EDIT: It was looking bad in gif form so I changed it to a swf..much cleaner now!

This is from an older painting I did that you can see here:

Love Fiddles two different colored eyes. Sin is one Bad-Ass demon.
I have my own demon character who also has a human companion.

Its a matter of using layers and doing a new drawing on each one like a "frame" and then telling photoshop to "play" each layer one by one and then exporting that as a gif....its actually a lot of work for such a tiny clip hahah but at least it ends up looking pretty slick for those few seconds :b

you go to the top and click window>animation and then a timeline appears that has a triangle to press play for each layer/frame

A simple looping of an amazing picture has earned no less than Full star's from yours truly!

I'm late to the party, so I missed the clean-up as it jumped to .Swf, but I'm sure it couldn't've been that bad! I'm assured that you can do no wrong in ANY medium, Comick!

Digital, or otherwise, you've never disappointed!

Haha Ah thanks man!! :D Yeah the gif version was very grainy and slow moving....I still need to figure out people make those hd-gifs since this one was so bad. But no matter anyways I got it to look exactly like its suppose to with the swf version heh.

OH! Also, please check your hotmail (the one you used to order the comic), the book was returned because of a missing address part! D: I gave you some details in the email so that hopefully I can resend your comic/stickers ASAP. Thanks again!!

Wow! Just... WOW!!! Your work never ceases to amaze me. It horrifies me, and yet makes me laugh at the same time. The light from Sin's eyes illuminating the side of Fibble's face just killed me! Such DETAIL is incredible, and actually makes these characters seem, not only realistic, but outright plausible too! Oh yeah, I'm having Sin featured nightmares tonight. I can tell :P

I've said this several times, but it bears repeating... Poor Fibble!

Thanks a bunch! :> I was probably playing around with making that glow on his face for WAY too long but the more I added to the animation the more slick it was starting to look...so a 10 minute experiment turned into hours and hours of drawing/tweaking and adding more layers haha. Glad it turned out well in the end!

Holy Crap! Hours and hours on doing on little detail on a drawing. I am in AWE!
Am I an awful person for feeling a little reassured an amazing lighting effect like that takes a LOT of time, even with a professional? It's somehow satisfying to know that great artwork doesn't come with a snap of the fingers, even to someone as experienced, skilled and talented like yourself.

Of course... this means that I'll never be able to produce anything like that in probably a million years... so perhaps it's not THAT reassuring after all :(

oh hahah no no the reason it took hours was not because of any extra drawing it might have taken its really because photoshop is a HORRID program to attempt animations (even if they look cool heh). I mean just gettig it to understand any sense of timing and framerate or looping or even which layers to play in snych other layers where are all very time consuming....and before it wants to play ANYTHING it "renders" each pic for like 5mins or more just to jump to the next frame. But thanks a bunch haha Im sure you could do it too! You just have to be SUPER patient with photoshop just to get it to want to animate something :D
