This a demon rising into being, so hes not fully developed in this scene. This one looks a little more raw than my other work...probably because I didnt shade it and I left the pencil work in.

Honestly im really in love with the effect that pencil work and ink gives, its more full and living then cleaned up ink work. Seeing an owl mixed with roots, ferns and rodents makes it look great too! Or maybe im seeing things.

Its sad for me to see that after so many years (didnt seem THAT long ago when this was considered a new piece....) theres still little comments on this piece. Its simple and not as "eye catching" (well to me its VERY eye catching but maybe not to others) but it is still so amazingly wonderful.

It may not seem like it (since its just recently that im commenting on your works) but i have been watching your work evolve throughout the years (coughimnostalkercoughcough) and its just wonderful to see you've come so far, even after how amazing your works are at this early stage haha :heart:

Wow thanks for giving this such a nice comment :D I agree the early work is neglected in that department haha but that’s okay. I suppose it’s just because they are my inks and pencil work and I don’t really post my inks and pencils anymore as a result...I mean I do still draw a ton of them in my sketch books but I hardly bother scanning them in and posting them since most of the time they just fade away into my gallery unseen. But the fact you actually had something nice to say about it and your own interpretations on what you saw in the roots is really motivating :) hmm maybe I'll scan a bunch and do a sketch dump post sometime....anyways Thanks a lot!
