I appreciate it a lot!! I think Idolatry's back story is best explained in my comic..Issue 2. But to make it short, it’s a painting about our obsession with pop culture and mass consumerism and out of all the popular icons out there like Pokémon and Mickey mouse only Hello Kitty was made specifically only to be put on stuff to buy, it never actually stemmed from a cartoon or comic book character first...and one of the things they sell in Japan is hello kitty sex toys, condoms, and hentai love pillows (which are pillows with characters faces printed on them and pre-made holes for you to have sex with the character), so I thought that was a good symbol of mass idolization that Idolatry could adopt for himself haha.
